Long Time No See

I know I haven’t been here for a while………… a few health issues have been giving me problems me this year.

However I am back!

I may not have been blogging but that doesn’t mean I’ve been idle;

Apart from experimenting with new SkinKiss products I have also been changing some of the things I do for myself;

I have stopped shampooing my hair! Shock, horror!

Not that my hair is dirty you understand;

The first thing I did was to use an organic Clarifying Shampoo – I chose Avalon Organics Lemon Clarifying Shampoo which I found on ebay.

This type of shampoo removes all the residue which can build up from the numerous products we use on our hair:- shampoo, conditioner, mousse, styling spray, dry shampoo……….

Just using this made my hair so much shinier, volumised instead of its usual ‘flat’, and left it feeling lighter too. (The weight of all those nasty chemicals must have been immense!)

Now I just use a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and water to ‘shampoo’ followed by a rinse made of apple cider vinegar and water. I only seem to need to do this once or twice a week whereas before my hair would start  getting greasy  the day after washing.

I love bicarbonate of soda!

Ridiculously cheap and works a treat! My hair has never looked so gorgeous.

Why not give it a go – let me know how you get on.

xx

  1. ooo sounds like a plan! I don’t use product apart from Dove, but this might be a nice treat…what do you think? x

    • I must admit I don’t use Dove due to the chemicals in it. The clarifying shampoo is a real treat for your hair – you will realise just how much residue was left in it! Using the Bicarb shampoo & vinegar rinse is a long term plan for your hair if you can get through the first couple of weeks getting used to no lather!

      • right – I’ll get some bicarb and vinegar when we next shop – I only use Dove products, because I find they are the only thing that doesn’t irritate my skin – i have pompholyx on my hands and feet x

  2. That’s a type of eczema isn’t it? It was having eczema myself that got Skinkiss started. Every time I used any ‘off the shelf’ products I had itchy flaky skin & eczema.
